As our free time becomes more valuable, destination resorts are catering more and more to all segments of the fishing market. Saltwater flats fishing is not just a fly fishing thing anymore and add to the mix, destinations like Alaska, South America, Africa and Australia and there is a very strong demand for good quality travel rods in spin and cast.

Traveling anglers require flexibility in their equipment. Rods that will handle a broad range of fishing challenges like ultra-lite trout and crappie action in freshwater to snook and tarpon fishing on saltwater flats. As more exotic fishing destinations are discovered, we find ourselves further and further afield. Most anglers would rather lose their clothing than their equipment. You can always fish in the pants and shirt you wore on the plane. If it's too hot, make yourself some cut-offs and you can get by just fine, but you bought that high performance rod just for this trip, so having it arrive two days late - or not at all - is NOT an option.

Fly anglers are taking spin or cast back-up rods for windy, tough casting days and serious all tackle anglers are discovering the advantage of carrying on" pack rods. It's systems management for the traveling sport fisher and we provide the rods. Escape travel rods have very specific line and lure ratings, including the optimum line recommended, for example: the ETR75-3 ULS 4 is an Escape Travel Rod, 75” in length, 3-piece configuration, Ultra Light Spin with an optimal line rating of 4-pound test. Guides are Fuji 'Alconite' and handles feature cork grips with fixed reel seats. Each rod comes in a handsome, protective rod sock and travel case.
