Duracoat
Specialized dual-polymer design optimizes line stiffness, slickness, and abrasion resistance while significantly reducing line memory and tangles.
EST+
EST+ - proprietary slickness additive that provides unmatched durability, smoother shooting, and eco-friendly performance.
Clear Floating Technology
Clear Floating Technology uses naturally buoyant polymers for the ultimate in stealthy presentation and best-in-class durability.
Shooting Texture
The SA Shooting Texture is a rounded, embossed pattern built into our textured fly-line series. Similar to the dimples of a
golf ball, the Shooting Texture reduces friction, thereby increasing durability and shooting distance. In addition, texturing increases the flotation of the line by altering the contact angle with the water.
Welded Loops
Why should you trust SAa welded loops? They constantly test welds and scrap any lines that have been looped incorrectly or are
not up to their rigorous specifications. To test our welded loops, they
pull them through an Instron tensile strength apparatus; we see the
body of the fly line break well before these welded loops.
Each loop is made by welding the tip of the fly line back onto itself,
creating a rock-solid connection. This allows for easy loop-to-loop
connections between our fly lines and leaders.
SA Line ID
The SA•ID, or Scientific Anglers Line Identification system, is a
unique and extremely helpful way to know which line is on your
reel, simply at a glance. Located on the first few feet of our premium
fly lines, the SA•ID denotes the fly-line family, the taper, as well as
the weight and sinking profile of that particular fly line. Wondering
if you grabbed an Intermediate sinking line or a floating Trout taper?
Just check the SA•ID. Need to know if that Skagit head is 360 or 400 grains? Just look for the SA•ID.
