Fly Dust is perfect for CDC style flies. Gel floatants should never be used on CDC flies as they will mat the CDC fibers ruining their effectiveness. Fly Dust will not harm CDC feathers.
Fly Dust is so effective that it can float an undisturbed beadhead nymph indefinitely. Treated nymphs will trap an air bubble around themselves that accurately imitates the characteristics of many natural nymphs.
